Game Reviews (2006)
I found that putting a money overall value on a game makes more sense than just “8/10” as that is such an arbitrary thing. People think and act with money; what is a game WORTH to you. With that in mind I find myself saying “this game is worth ____” more when recommended a game to a friend rather than “that was a 7.5/10 bro!” and that is why I grade based off of that information. If a game is priceless that means the overall value hit between 9-10 for its highest value. If you basically would only play the game if it was free, that would put the overall highest value at less than 6/10. Below is a simple chart showing the value of a game based off of how much I feel like someone should pay for the game.
5: Priceless = highest overall value between 9-10
4: Under $40 = highest overall value between 8-8.75
3: Under $30 = highest overall value between 7-7.75
2: Under $20 = highest overall value between 6-6.75
1: $10 or Free To Play (FTP) = highest overall value between 5-5.75
0: I wouldn't play this game even if it was free = highest overall value less than 4.75
