Well Cineplex has done it again! Last year they put out a holiday video, Lily and the Snowman, that made me bawl everytime I saw it! I thought it was the pregnancy hormones but now this year they made a new one, A Balloon for Ben, that makes me cry just as much! You have to watch this sweet video :) |

Benji is 5 months old! At his doctor appointment today he weighed in at 13.1 lbs and measured 27". He has been eating a bit of cereal each day for the past 2 weeks and is a pro! |

We are back to (hopefully) making a dessert once a week. Today we tried a recipe I found online for Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars and it was delicious (it was hard not to eat the whole pan)! Today it was announced that the Kenora LDS branch will no longer be a part of the Winnipeg Stake but will join the district with Dryden and Fort Frances. Micah said this would happen over two years ago when he was released as Branch Mission Leader. When he had this calling the average weekly attendance was between 75-100 and over the last two years it has dropped to under 20. Congrats Kenora, you got what you wished for. |

Sadly, Ashley's (paternal) Grandpa passed away today at the age of 92. He was a very interesting man, click here to read his obituary. He was very kind to Micah when we first got married and Micah moved to Winnipeg; we will always remember that :) |

Today was a fun day! Last Sunday we were trying to plow our driveway after a large snowfall and we got our truck stuck! Chris Ambs came to the rescue and plowed us out (after being stuck in our house for 2 days!) To say thank you we treated him and his wife to a day of fun in Winnipeg- first a stars and strollers showing of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, dinner at Paradise then the first showing of Deadpool! My sisters and mom met us at the movie theatre and babysat Benji for us. |

We found out that Micah's grandma had a stroke on Sunday. We went to visit her in the hospital today. She got to meet Benji and Micah brought her yellow roses. She was looking great and might be discharged in the next couple of days. We saw a couple movies while we were in Winnipeg (Kung Fu Panda 3 and The Finest Hours). Benji did great through them, even a lady came up and told us he did good! lol |

The local movie rental store, Movies on Main, is going out of business and all of their movies are 60% off. Today I raided the store and got a bunch of movies- the average price was $2.50 each! Movie night anyone? :) |

Today we did a movie marathon in Winnipeg! Soon Benji will be too old to take with us so we wanted to make the most of the trip in to Winnipeg. We saw three movies, The Forest, The 5th Wave and 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (click here to see how we liked the movies). We also went out for dinner with my parents and sister! |

Today the midwife came over and weighed Benji- he is now 9 lbs 7 oz! We have been using cloth diapers and they are absolutely fantastic. We had been using newborns but now have switched over to the bigger ones :) |
