Micah and I think its good to keep learning new skills and to maintain old ones. Last year I was taught how to crochet granny squares and now I've ventured into other crocheting projects. Micah used to play the euphonium and was very good at it. We decided to buy him the instrument so he can start to play again! |

I've started crocheting again and this time wanted to make a blanket without granny squares. I ended up giving this grey and purple blanket to Arya Ambs, the newest member of our branch, born September 2! The blanket is made with just a double crochet stitch and I used the pattern from this website for the ruffle around the edge- Ruffled Baby Blanket for Beginners |

Today we made a video- our favourite movie theatre is having a contest for free movies for a year. We decided to enter with Micah being our movie star. It was so much fun to make! Laugh every time I think about it :) |

Our little kitty Raven almost died! We had to rush him to the vet in Winnipeg. Thankfully he is okay now but it was scary! Read more about it in our Journal section. |

So for the past couple days we have had no running water! We have been bathing with our drinking water and flushing toilets with melted snow! The plumber came out today to see what the problem was- we thought it might be a frozen pipe from the well! But he found that the heat trace wasn't plugged in and as soon as he did, we had water! At least it was an easy fix :) |

So far the winter has been pretty nice but that last couple of days it as dropped to -45 with the windchill! My car wouldn't start so I had to get it jumped a couple of times to make it home from work. |

Today we had a full day in Winnipeg! We met with my Grandpa and we took us to his museum he has out at Finmac Perimeter Lumber. We then met my parents at The Keg for dinner. After that we watched two movies- Seventh Son and Jupiter Ascending! |
