Lucina (Chrom)
Overall Value: Unique
Notable Skills: Aegis, Luna, Dual Guard+, Dual Strike+, Aether, Rightful King,
Most Likely Build: Great Lord, Tank, Sorcerer
Thoughts on Builds and Parents: Lucina is one of only two in the game to be able to class into the Great Lord class and comes with Parallel Falchion that can be used to heal herself. Without any help from her mother she can build into the Great Lord class to completion, and as such would only be interested in “stats” from mother. Skill/Speed would be important and Magic/Luck would be wasted on her; as such Sully/Sumia would be good fits and Olivia/Maribelle would be wasted. Robin as mother with a focus on Skill would also be useful. If you wanted to forgo her unique class for a tank role then Sumia would be the best mother hands down; Sumia would give her Pavise skill to round off her defense while giving her Renewal for recovery to give her Pavise/ Aegis/ Aether/ Renewal/ LimitBreaker as a finished product. If you wanted to go Sorcerer build you would need to go Maribelle or Robin with Magic focus as mother.
Best Choice: Sully is the best choice for Great Lord build (Dual Strike+, Dual Guard+, Aether, Rightful King, Limit Breaker) because of pure stats. Have Chrom pass down Aether and have Sully pass down Dual Guard +. That would mean Lucina will learn Dual Strike + and Rightful King in the Lord class. If MaMU pair her up with a random (could be Chrom) with her in the support role. If FeMU marry Morgan and have her in the support role.

Owain (Lissa)
Overall Value: Moderate to Strong (Choice of parent)
Notable Skills: Vantage, Astra, Lethality, Miracle, Renewal
Most Likely Build: Dread Fighter, Sorcerer
Thoughts on Builds and Parents: Owain’s mother Lissa should pass down Galeforce regardless, both of which will feed into both Dread Fighter and Sorcerer builds. To complete his Sorcerer build his father will need to pass down the sorcerer class and Vengeance skill that comes with it, that alone will complete his skill set enough to give him a complete package (Limit Breaker/ Vengeance/ Miracle/ Galeforce/ Renewal). Libra and Henry are the only two that can pass down Sorcerer class and both have a +4 to magic so pick one that you are not using. If however you wish to go Dread Fighter build you will need to get Owain the Armsthrift and Sol abilities which come from the Mercenary class, which leaves Donnel and Gregor. Gregor is the better choice here hands down as the massive bonus to Luck is somewhat wasted as well as Donnels other classes that he hands down that wouldn’t be used. Gregor gives good balanced stats and doesn’t take anything away while giving Owain only one class, which is the one class that he needs.
Best Choice: Gregor as the father who passes down Armsthrift with Lissa passing down Galeforce. Owain arrives as a Myrmidon so upgrade him to a hero, get him Sol, change class to War cleric/Monk, to get him renewal and then change him into a Dread Fighter (Limit Breaker, Armsthrift, Sol, Galeforce, Renewal). Marry him to Noire and have him in the support role.
Notable Skills: Vantage, Astra, Lethality, Miracle, Renewal

Inigo (Olivia)
Overall Value: Strong
Notable Skills: Armsthrift, Sol, Lethality, Astra
Most Likely Build: Dread Fighter
Thoughts on Builds and Parents: All Inigo needs to complete the build would be Lifetaker or Renewal, in this case Lifetaker would be a stronger choice as his mother Olivia will be passing down Galeforce. In my opinion this is a no brainer, Virion. Not only does it fit perfectly into the storyline and seem like Virion is Inigo’s father, Virion gives great stats and will pass down Lifetaker.
Best Choice: Virion as the father passing down Lifetaker and Olivia passing down Galeforce. He comes as a Mercenary with Armsthrift so upgrade him to a Hero to gain Sol and then change him into the Dread Fighter. (Limit Breaker/ Sol/ Armsthrift / Lifetaker/ Galeforce) . Marry him to Severa and have him in the support role.
Notable Skills: Armsthrift, Sol, Lethality, Astra

Brady (Maribelle)
Overall Value: Strong to Godly (Choice of Parent)
Notable Skills: Miracle, Renewal, Aegis, Luna, Lifetaker
Most Likely Build: Sorcerer, Dread Fighter
Thoughts on Builds and Parents: Brady comes with a lot of great skills, period. If you wish to make him a Dread Fighter give him Gregor or Donnel as a father, if Gregor is already chosen Donnel will make sure Brady’s skills all get maxed (Aptitude) as a Dread Fighter without much work. If you want to make him a Sorcerer give him Libra/Henry as a parent- whichever one isn’t taken.
Best Choice: Donnel as the father passing down Sol with Maribelle as mother passing down Galeforce. Upgrade Brady into a War Monk to get Renewal, change class into Mercenary to pick up Armsthrift and then change class into Dread Fighter. (Limit breaker/ Armsthrift/ Sol/ Renewal/ Galeforce). Marry him to Cynthia and have him in the support role.
Notable Skills: Miracle, Renewal, Aegis, Luna, Lifetaker
Most Likely Build: Sorcerer, Dread Fighter

Kjelle (Sully)
Overall Value: Strong to Godly (Choice of Parent)
Notable Skills: Luna, Pavise, Aegis, Dual Guard+
Most Likely Build: Tank
Thoughts on Builds and Parents: As if her skills didn’t scream it loud enough, the games terrible storyline makes it even more obvious, “yeah, I like armor derp!” She comes with Pavise/Aegis/Luna already in her skill set which means she just needs a life regen ability. Renewal is great for its constant recovery but Sol/Aether can sometimes turn the tide of fights coming at you as it can proc during an enemy attack. As far as stats are concerned having high Skill stat means more % chance to half damage, so that would be more important than def/res or even speed. Donnel will give her the most skills hands down but also the worst stats hands down, giving her a +2 to skill when the next lowest is +4, but gives her Galeforce, Armsthrift, Sol, and Renewal. You can’t possibly use that many skill on Kjelle so many if not all of those skills are wasted on her, and Galeforce only procs when you kill and enemy, something Kjelle isn’t built for as much as taking damage. Donnel is commonly used as the parent for this reason but I can’t help but feel it is a terrible waste for Armsthrift which would never be used on her. If you really wanted to give her Armsthrift/Sol combo Vaike would be a better choice for a dad. If you wanted to go Renewal then Libra is your best bet as Kjelle could use the +2 to res as well as the option for a Sorcerer build as Sorcerers are naturally tanky as well. Finally Chrom also makes a great parent, passing down Aether which will serve her well.
Best Choice: Chrom as the father passing down Aether and Sully passing down Luna (you have to change the last skill to Luna from Dual Guard + before doing Sully's mission). Upgrade her to General to pick up Pavise, change class to Cavalier and then upgrade to Paladin to pick up Aegis and then switch to Wyvern Rider to upgrade to Wyvern Lord. (Limit Breaker/Pavise/ Aegis/ Luna/ Aether). Marry Gerome and either one can be support or frontliner.

Cynthia (Sumia)
Overall Value: Strong to Godly (Choice of Parent)
Notable Skills: Galeforce, Luna, Pavise, Dual Guard+, Renewal
Most Likely Build: Sorcerer, Tank
Thoughts on Builds and Parents: Cynthia makes an amazing tank but an even crazier sorcerer. If you want her to go tank route Chrom is your man, he will round out her skills giving her Aegis/Aether and even Bow Breaker if you decide to keep her as a flier (dunno?). If you want her to go Socerer route then Henry is your man, he will open up the class for Cynthia giving her Vengeance as well as passing down Lifetaker and some powerful stats.
Best Choice: Henry as the father passing down Lifetaker with Sumia passing down Galeforce. Immediately change her into a Cleric to learn Miracle and then when possible switch her into her Sorcerer class. (Limit Breaker/ Vengeance/ Miracle/ Galeforce/ Life Taker). Marry her to Brady and have in the front.
Notable Skills: Galeforce, Luna, Pavise, Dual Guard+, Renewal

Severa (Cordelia)
Overall Value: Godly
Notable Skills: Galeforce, Armsthrift, Sol, Vengeance, Lifetaker
Most Likely Build: Sorcerer
Thoughts on Builds and Parents: Severa makes a powerful Sorcerer without much work as she comes with all the skills prepackaged. Limit Breaker/Armsthrift/Lifetaker/Galeforce could be used on almost any build and Vengeance completes the package if you are going Sorcerer. If you decide to do something else, Sol could be tacked on instead of Vengeance on basically any class you choose, which means that “giving Severa more options for skills” is a complete waste of time and needless grinding. Pick a parent based off of stats alone for Severa.
Best Choice: Ricken as the father passing down Lifetaker and Cordelia passing down Life Force. She comes as a Mercenary which gives her Armsthrift so all you need to do is change her into a Sorcerer. (Limit Breaker/ Galeforce/ Armsthrift/ Lifetaker/ Vengenace). Marry her to Inigo and have her in the front.
Notable Skills: Galeforce, Armsthrift, Sol, Vengeance, Lifetaker

Gerome (Cherche)
Overall Value: Moderate to Strong (Choice of Parent)
Notable Skills: Renewal, Sol, Miracle
Most Likely Build: Tank
Thoughts on Builds and Parents: Really only one real solid option for Gerome and that is the tank build. He comes with Renewal, Sol, and Miracle but doesn’t come with Luna/Pavise/Aegis which are all strong on a Tank build… I wonder… no brainer, Frederick. Gives stats where they are needed and subtracts stats that are not needed (magic) while giving Aegis/Pavise/ AND Luna- the only father to do so.
Best Choice: Frederick as the father passing down Pavise and Cherche passing down Renewal. Change Gerome into a Cavalier and then upgrade him into a Great Knight to pick up Luna and then change him into a Paladin to get Aegis and then change him back to a Wyvern Rider/Lord. (Limit Breaker/ Renewal/ Aegis/ Pavise/ Luna). Have him marry Kjelle with either support or main.

Yarne (Panne)
Overall Value: Weak to Strong (Choice of Parent)
Notable Skills: Lethality
Most Likely Build: Tank
Thoughts on Builds and Parents: Yarne comes like his mother with a bleak set of skills to work with, he is however a Taguel which means he has hidden potential with Beaststone+ to become some of the strongest tanks in the game. Fredrick provides Luna/Pavise/Aegis but doesn’t provide any healing whatsoever, which is fatal. Kellam is your best bet other than Robin (Avatar) to give Yarne enough skills and stats to successfully tank. Kellam provides Renewal/Luna/Pavise/Dual Guard+ and he has Lethality already in place if he wanted to forgo the typical Aegis for the extra hell marry of Lethality. You can also decide to go with Locktouch as your fourth skill, giving yourself a safe thief just in case. Once again a no brainer, Kellam provides the most skills and stats (+5 defence) hands down. However, if you wished your Avatar (Robin) to be the parent with the right skill as a bonus (Defence, Resistance, Skill) Yarne would be able to fully tank out. However Kellam does enough of the job to make this a rather needless sacrifice unless you wanted a female Morgan Taguel.
Best Choice: Kellam as the father passing down Renewal with Yarne passing down either Locktouch or Lethality (depending on how much you leveled Yarne). Change Yarne into a Knight then upgrade him to General to pick up Pavise, then change class to Great Knight to pick up Luna and then back into Taguel (Limit Breaker/ Renewal/ Pavise/ Luna or Lethality/ Locktouch or Dual Guard +). Marry him to FeMU if MU is female and have him in support role. If playing as MaMU, marry him to female Morgan.

Laurent (Miriel)
Overall Value: Weak to Strong (Choice of Parent)
Notable Skills: Lifetaker, Vengeance, Renewal (From mother)
Most Likely Build: Sorcerer
Thoughts on Builds and Parents: Laurent is clearly made for only one class, the problem is that he doesn’t come with any of the skill that make that class amazing and some of the skills (Galeforce) he can never get, period. Basically Laurent needs Miracle or Vantage + Armsthrift + potentially getting Renewal (Because Lifetaker is less effective without having Galeforce) to be even remotely as powerful as the other Sorcerers. Having +5 more magic on the other Sorcerers doesn’t do you any good if you are dead. Libra is a solid choice, as Libra will hand over the Priest class which would give him Miracle/Renewal which means he would end up with Limit Breaker/ Vengeance/ Miracle/ Renewal/Lifetaker and a +5 to magic. Gregor, if not taken already, will give Laurent Vantage/Armsthrift which means you would end up with Limit Breaker/ Vengeance/ Vantage/ Armsthrift/ Lifetaker and a +3 to magic, which is now close to Severa with Ricken as her father- you will also have to waste Gregor. Having Armsthrift on other classes is a must, having it on a sorcerer is a bonus but not necessary as you can purchase Nosferatu. You lose +2 magic, Gregor, and switch Armsthrift/Vantage for Renewal/Miracle if you go with Gregor. Using Libra you gain +5 magic, you’ll use Libra (who doesn’t have the same value) and switch Renewal/Miracle for Armsthrift/Vantage.
Best Choice: Libra as the father passing down Renewal and Miriel passing down Lifetaker. Have him switch over to a Priest to pick up Miracle then to Dark Mage to upgrade him to Sorcerer (Limit Breaker/ Vengeance/ Miracle/ Renewal/ Lifetaker). Marry him to Nah and be in main role (for the most part).
Notable Skills: Lifetaker, Vengeance, Renewal (From mother)

Noire (Tharja)
Overall Value: Moderate to Strong (Choice of Parent)
Notable Skills: Pavise, Luna, Lifetaker, Vengeance
Most Likely Build: Sorcerer
Thoughts on Builds and Parents: This isn’t really a hard choice for me either, she should be a sorcerer and her father is also an easy choice to complete the build. Gaius, for some reason, gives Noire the Dark Flier Class which opens up Galeforce and also provides Vantage at the same time.
Best Choice: Gaius as the father passing down Vantage and Tharja passing down Lifetaker. Change her into a Pegasus Knight, upgrade to Dark Flier for Galeforce then switch her into Dark Mage so that she can upgrade and finish as a Sorcerer. (Limit Breaker/ Vengeance/ Vantage/ Galeforce/ Lifetaker). Marry her to Owain and have her in the front.

Nah (Nowi)
Overall Value: Strong to Godly (Choice of Parent)
Notable Skills: Lifetaker
Most Likely Build: Tank
Thoughts on Builds and Parents: Tank Manakete’s with Dragonstone+ are some of the toughest in the game. With that said the typical skills desired are in play- Aegis/Pavise/Luna/Renewal or Sol. Hands down Vaike is the best option, he provides a wide variety of skills that feed into making Nah a Tank Hybrid (Armsthrift/Sol/Pavise/Luna/Lethality) while giving her amazing bonuses to her attack and defense. However, if your Avatar (Robin) is a Male, consider him being the father. This will make an already unstoppable Nah even more Godly, while also giving your female Morgan the Manakete’s ability herself, an ability she will not get otherwise.
Best Choice: If MaMU then MaMU as father passing down Renewal and Nowi passing down Lifetaker. If FeMU then Vaike as father passing down Sol and Nowi passing down Lifetaker. Change her into Knight and then Great Knight for Luna then change to General for Pavise. If MaMU is father she can then be changed into Paladin for Aegis. Change her back into a Manakete once all skills are acquired. (Limit Breaker/ Pavise/ Luna/ Renewal + Aegis or Sol + Lifetaker). Marry her to Laurent in the support role (for the most part).
Notable Skills: Lifetaker

Morgan (Robin [Avatar])
Overall Value: Godly
Notable Skills: All abilities, as even Galeforce can be passed down.
Most Likely Build: Whateve’s
Thoughts on Builds and Parents: There are only a few truly unique AND useful skills in the game that should come into play when deciding who should be the parent. Manakete/Taguel ability can be passed down by marrying Nowi or Tiki (Tiki would be a waste for Nah though) and Panne or Yarne. You can only have a female Morgan Manakete but can have male or female Taguel. Having Yarne’s son would mean you would have a Tanguel son with two generations of skill bonuses and become the most powerful tank in the game with Beaststone+. Aether is also a useful skill and can be acquired from Chrom, Lucina, or another one of Chrom’s potential daughters. Rightful King loses its value when not paired with Aether, as most other skills 10% wouldn’t even phase end game (Vengeance and Armsthrift have 100% proc rate end game already). Lastly Shadowgift is an ability you can pass down, but I am still not convinced that it makes much sense to waste an entire skill slot just so you can transition out of Sorcerer class, a class which is already overpowered. Your two best case scenarios are to either A. Create a God for a Morgan that is the greatest in the game, or B. Create a Godly Morgan while also creating another Godly child. Personally I find the value of two Godly champions to be of more value than having one extremely Godly, and as such there are only three options. 1. Marry Chrom, this will create an even more powerful Lucina and a fantastic male Morgan while also giving your female Avatar (Robin) an S class support rating with Chrom so that you and Chrom will always be able to pair up for maximum support. 2. Marry Panne, this will complete Yarne’s skill set and make him a God while giving your daughter Morgan the ability to become Taguel and equally as Godly. 3. Marry Nowi, likewise with Panne, Nah is now an unstoppable force and your female Morgan daughter is her equal in all things, Manakete included.
Best Choice: If MaMU then Nowi as Mother passing down Lifetaker with MaMU passing down Renewal. Turn Morgan into a Manakete (Limit Breaker/ Pavise/ Luna/ Aegis/ Renewal). Marry her to Yarne and put her in either position. If FeMU then Yarne as father passing down Pavise with FeMU passing down Galeforce. Turn Morgan into a Taguel (Limit Breaker / Pavise/ Luna/ Aegis/ Renewal). Have him marry Lucina and position him in the front.
